The Boba Foundation

The Boba Foundation would be an organization that provides funding for groups that are using current technologies to promote sustainability. Let me clarify what this means. In the past 10 years, there have been vast technological improvements and innovation, enhancing the way we live. But, what if we looked at this another way. What if we applied these same technological advancements and innovations differently. What if we used them to promote sustainability instead. That's the goal of the Boba Foundation. 

Now, before I move on, I want to make one thing clear. In no way will this instantly change the world. But, instead will be big steps in the right direction. Now, let me tell you a little bit more about how the Boba Foundation will use current technology to promote sustainability. One big problem the world is facing is global warming. So how will we use current technology to solve this? The Boba Foundation will fund an increase in wind turbines. Let me explain. The growth of wind energy has been substantial. Since 2008, wind capacity has tripled to over 82 GW (enough to power over 24 million homes). Gradually switching over to wind turbines will decrease the need for coal energy. Therefore, gradually reducing carbon emissions. Another big problem is pollution. The Boba Foundation is looking to fund companies such as Netflix and Spotify. Why? Before companies such as Netflix, the norm was to own physical copies of movies, resulting in more eventual waste. Thus, the move to streaming reduced this unnecessary waste. Providing funding to companies focusing on digitalization will reduce the amount of physical waste. 

Personally, technology itself has been a big passion of mine ever since I was little. But, one thing that I've grown to enjoy doing is thinking outside the box. It was almost natural to combine the two together. I thought to myself, what is a creative way to use current technology (that may have a different purpose) to promote sustainability. It got me to think one step beyond the actual technology itself into the effect the technology has to other things. That's why I want to continue finding ways current technology can lead towards sustainability with the Boba Foundation.

Finally, Anima Mundi Development Partners should support the Boba Foundation because it will promote taking a step into the right direction. Although the main focus is to use current technology to promote technology, the fact of the matter is that change doesn't happen instantly. The Boba Foundation shows that taking a step in the right direction will help bring about that change. Hopefully other organizations take notice and will join us in taking a step in the right direction. With more people on board, positive change is sure to come.
